August 3-5, 2017
Thomas Colohan, Guest Conductor
We invite you to join the Voices United Honor Chorus this summer under the direction of Thomas Colohan. We are looking forward to the enthusiasm and energy Mr. Colohan will bring to the VU Honor Chorus with his program for chorus and orchestra, “The Mask of Death.”
Regina Coeli, W.A. Mozart
Hear My Prayer, Moses Hogan
Plenty Good Room, William Henry Smith
Triptych, Tarik O'Regan (This 2005 composition is an exciting work, performed with a small string orchestra. Preview it here.)
Registration will be open April 1 - June 30 (see below for registration link/form). The registration fee is $75 per singer.
Guidelines for participation in the VU Honor Chorus:
- Each singer must be sponsored by their director (sponsoring directors must be ACDA members). The director submits all registration materials and payment on behalf of their singers.
- Male voices must be CHANGED.
- Singers must be the age of 15 or older as of August 3, 2017.
Directors should nominate singers who possess strong music reading skills, healthy tone quality, and a cooperative nature, including a willingness to work with a wide range of ages, and an aptitude for success in long rehearsals.
Directors, send one singer or your whole choir! Our vision is to bring together as many singers from as many choirs as possible to create an ensemble for fellowship, unity, and the opportunity to create beautiful choral music under the baton of a master conductor and teacher. Whether you are a high school director, community chorus director, church director, or simply love to sing, this ensemble will be an amazing event for all involved.
Sponsoring directors may register singers for the Voices United Honor Chorus online (preferred) or by mail:
